Help other causes in the Pittsburgh area

Parting Note
We wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition build. This was a rare opportunity to make such a difference in the lives of a very deserving family. We were very impressed with the way everyone rallied around this cause to get the Slaughter family a new house. Without everyone’s participation, the project would not have been possible.

Again, thanks for your participation. - Montgomery & Rust Inc.

Day 4 - October 20, 2008
The House Takes Shape

After the foundation cured, it seemed like magic how quickly a house emerged. The exterior walls went up, windows went it, and the roof was started before the sun went down.

Day 3 - October 19, 2008
Braveheart and Demo Day

With a choir singing in front of the house, Ty and the Montgomery & Rust team marched down the street followed by a large group of eager workers pumped up to do the task at hand. Following a heart-felt speech by the build team, spectators cheered on as the excavator took down the house in a matter of minutes. Immediately after the dust settled and the debris was cleared, the construction of the new house began.

Day 1 - October 17, 2008
“Gooood Morning Slaughter Family!”

The Slaughter family was overwhelmed with emotion by the design team’s arrival early this morning. The family will be departing for their Walt Disney World vacation for the duration of construction. Now it is time for Ty and the designers, local builder Montgomery & Rust and hundreds of volunteers and workers to get to work rebuilding their home.

Our community has really stepped up to the challenge. A big thank you to everyone who has signed up to volunteer and all the generous donations and support we have received so far.
